Analyzing of occupational health and safety management system in Czech company and international standards

Abstract

This diploma thesis analyzed the occupational safety and health management system (OSHMS) in Czech company, Stant Manufacturing – Ostrava plant, against international standards ‘second edition of Guidelines on occupational safety and health management systems - ILO-OSH 2001 which published in 2009 and Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements with guidance for use - ISO 45001:2018’. The analyzing process included reviewing of all elements of OSHMS such as OSH policy, OSH objectives, process of hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA), emergency preparedness, and monitoring procedures such as inspection and audit to evaluate the effectiveness of the existing OSHMS. Finally, this thesis gave some reasonable practical recommendations for improving the overall OSH performance.
