Využití strukturální pomoci EU v regionu soudržnosti Jihovýchod

Abstract

Regional policy of the European Union is implemented by means of regional and thematic operational programmes in individual Member States. The aim of this thesis is to bring closer the grants from Regional operational programme in South-East Cohesion Region in the programme period 2007 – 2013. A particular example was used to describe the issue. The project of “Parking area Dvorska” in the town Blansko, which is situated in South Moravian Region, was chosen as the topic of my thesis. The car park started to be used in May 2009 and solves especially a difficult situation with parking and lack of greenery in the blocks of flats Sever. Investor as well as provider is the town Blansko. Total costs of the project were approximately 6 million CZK, of which reasonable expenses amounted to 5.94 million CZK. The co-financing rate from European Fond of Regional Development reached 64 %. Reimbursed certified costs from Regional operational programme South-East amounted to 4.16 million CZK. At the beginning of 2011 an audit was carried out by Regional Council Office of South-East Cohesion Region and no discrepancies were found. Final part of the thesis is meant to evaluate the project by means of public opinion. To sum up, the inhabitants are satisfied with the realization of the project in spite of obvious drawbacks. However, the need of additional parking places in the blocks of flats still persists.
