Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focusing on the study of individual parameters of continuous casting of steel and studies their influence on the internal quality of round billets. The aim of this thesis is to divide the different influences according to the importance on the internal quality of round billets and thus to improve their production. To solve the problem, there was used an analysis of domestic and foreign literature. In the first theoretical part of this thesis, the technology of the steel continuous casting is described. There are also described various internal defects and casting parameters. The second part is devoted to an analysis of domestic and foreign literature, there is also studied the influence of these individual casting parameters on the internal quality of round billets. In the last part, there are summarized knowledge and compared the importance of the influence of individual technological parameters, especially of the casting speed, temperature of overheating, casting format including a taper of mould and oscilation speed. In addition, this part also focuses on the used casting powder, cast steel quality, intensity and uniformity of secondary and tercial cooling systems on the internal quality of steel billets.
