Návrh a tvorba interaktivního Business Intelligence dashboardu pro manažerské rozhodování

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on design and creation of an interactive Business Intelligence dashboard. Its aim is to support business decision-making using clear visualizations. The thesis is divided into five chapters, combining a theoretical basis with practical implementation. The introduction outlines the purpose of the thesis and growing importance of data analysis in modern business management. The theoretical part describes basic principles of Business Intelligence, benefits of BI for enterprises and principles of effective design of BI dashboards. Special focus is placed on the Power BI software tool, which allows users to connect data sources and create visualizations that support decision-making. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to data processing – from data import, through data transformation in the Power Query editor, to the creation of a data model using relationships between tables. These steps created the basis for the proper functionality of Power BI report. The next part of the thesis describes construction of the dashboard itself, including the elements used, especially visuals. The result is a clear interactive dashboard that allows users to monitor the development of key values over time and by organizational units. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes achieved results. The created BI dashboard brings added value to the company in the form of better access to data, which enables better data-based decision-making, which increases the efficiency of corporate management.
