Abstract

This thesis treats of an overview the glass recycle consequences on the glass sand extraction and ganges of landscaping. In the first part of the work there is a detailed description of glass recycling followed by glass production where the history of glass with connection of glass manufacture in the present is documented. In the next section you will find description of glass sand mining and surface mining issues. This part is followed by landscape characteristic that is affected by mining activities, then a description of land recultivation in specific open-cast quarries of glass sand in the Czech Republic. In a final section I have highlighted how glass recyclation influence glass sand mining.
