Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the current state of corporate governance in the selected company, its efficiency, effectiveness and the impact of corporate governance on competitiveness. The sub-objective is to evaluate the financial situation of the company using selected financial ratios, credit models such as Kralicki's Quicktest, Tamari's model and bankruptcy models represented by Altman's model, IN05 index and also last but not least there belongs Taffler's model. The subsequent combination of non-financial and financial indicators gives a comprehensive picture for future strategic decisions. For the purpose of this thesis the Balanced Scorecard method has been chosen, the evaluation of competitiveness will be done through Pollak's model of corporate viability and Porter's five competitive forces analysis model of objectification.
