Abstract

Waste management issue covers also wide and today much discussed areas of packaging and handling of packaging waste. As such a considerable goal is set to minimize packaging generation and packaging waste with assumption of ensuring the safety and protection of products placed on the market. This work, in general aims to describe the current state of packaging and packaging waste from the legislative and also material point of view. The approach of society and companies to packaging as such and with regard to the impact on the environment is recorded. It only depends on us how we responsibly approach the worldwide production of packaging and the subsequent treatment of packaging and packaging waste, which also includes its own recycling processes.
