Modelování a optimalizace bezdrátové sítě TUONET v budově FEI

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with modeling and verification of the wireless network in the building of the Faculty of electrical engineering and informatics within the Technical university of Ostrava. In the first half of the thesis it discusses the theoretical issue of radio waves propagation in the area and further analyzes the specifications of IEEE 802.11 wireless networks. The second part deals with building modeling and subsequent network simulation in Remcom's Wireless Insite software. The simulation results are then verified by measurement using client devices. Based on simulation and measurement results, the optimization of this wireless network is designed at the end.
