Abstract

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the brown coal-like sorption materials. The main aim of presented study was to verification and sorption properties oxyhumolite and leonardite for non-polar organic compounds. These compounds were previously characterized by TOC, zeta potential and specific surface. Oxyhumolite and leonardite was subsequently used for study of naphthalene, phenanthrene and fluoranthene sorption. The sorption process was studied by using batch manner in aqueous solutions. Previously described sorption experiments were carried out at the theoretical samples prepared in laboratory. Oxyhumolite and leonardit were used as sorption material in grain size fraction below 40 microns.
