Vyhodnocení konkurenceschopnosti krajů České republiky ve vybraných sektorech

Abstract

In this bachelor thesis is presented mutual cooperation, common goals in regional development of European union and Czech Republic as well as it shows application of their corporate policy. The regional policy of Czech Republic contains regional documents and objectives for period from the year 2007 till 2013. Czech Republic draws financial aid from European union and its area is divided by Nomanclature of territorial statistical units. Regions are facing the issue of regional disparities which can be assumed by regional competitive ability. The thesis compares regional competitive strength by using selected indicators. The evaluation of competitivness is not complex but includes only indicators chosen by me. These indicators are populations, education, labour market, economic performance, organizational statistics and health service. The monitored districts are Moravian-Silesian Region and Olomouc Region. In spite of similar characteristics of these two regions, the Moravian-Silesian Region is able to offer better foundation for human cupital, as well as bigger and more skilled labour. Although the Moravian-Silesian Region is facing higher unemployment rate its economy is more executive than economy of Olomouc Region and much better using own potential for development of small and middle business.
