Abstract

Ionic liquids represent an interesting area in terms of possible applications. One of them is utilization as sorbent for separation of environmental carbon dioxide from the flue gas stream. In the theoretical part of the work deals with the preparation of these substances and their properties as solvents. The practical part summarizes the findings of his own experimental work, which included the preparation of different salts on the basis of pyridine and 3-methylpyridine and its characterization.
