Abstract

This Master‘s thesis focuses on a design and implementation of the control system of the assembly line model with subsequent connection to the selected cloud platform. Firstly, it was necessary to study properly the assembly line model and assess which sensor will perform the data feed function for cloud storage and subsequent analysis. The theoretical part describes the properties of the used cloud services and the way the data are transferred to them. The assembly line had to be supplemented by SIMATIC IoT 2040, which serves as an intelligent gateway between sensors and the development environment. The Node-RED development environment was used to build the control system to determine where the sensor data should be sent. The cloud platforms from IBM and Ubidots were used to visualize and store data.
