Abstract
There is a possibility of removing organic dye p-phenylenediamine from the environment by its sorption on clay minerals. In bachelor thesis the sorption of
p-phenylenediamine on SWy-2 in acidic pH (1 and 4), and in the alkaline pH 8 was performed. In addition to the sorption of the dye p-phenylenediamine based on literature research, its ecotoxicity into the water or soil was found, which has not been determined yet. For this reason the dye was applied on white mustard seeds (Sinapis alba L.) characterizing the representatives of plants and it was applied on aquatic organisms, named brine shrimp (Artemia salina) by using of different concentrations. After the p-phenylenediamine sorption on SWy-2, the obtained leachate at pH value 8 was acquired and then applied on the white mustard seeds (Sinapis alba L.) and its ecotoxicity was determined.
