Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on the hydro power plants and generate electricity. In the first part is outline the production of electricity, description of the main objects of the water works and the total distribution of aquatic plants. In the next part is more thoroughanalysis, description and diagram of the basic hydro power stations, including the most widely used water turbines. Next chapter is focused on the using of power plants in the Czech Republic and the world.For the Czech Republic are mained power plant operated by a group CEZ and the total annual production of electricity. Listed are also the world's annual production of electricenergy and the greatest power the world. The second part of the thesis is focised on the current applicable legislation and related laws.The last section describes the latest trends and development of marine power plants.
