Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate potential technology for the preparation of alloys based on Ni-Al-Mo. This paper describes the basic characteristics of different types of nickel alloys and composite materials based on metals and their use in practice. These alloys are promising material for future applications, as they can be used under challenging operational conditions. Preparing them is not, however, simple from a technological or financial point of view. Several current technologies used for preparing these alloys have been included in the thesis. The practical part is focused on the preparation of Ni-Al-Mo alloys using vacuum induction melting, centrifugal casting and gravity casting. A master alloy produced with bandpass plasma remelting was used for preparing the alloys. The structure of the cast molds is formed in phases (Ni) + Ni3Al and the NiMo phase subsequently appears in alloys with a higher content of molybdenum. In a channeled state, these alloys may exhibit the character of composite materials of the “in-situ” type.
