Komparace podílových fondů a ETF z hlediska českého investora

Abstract

The aim of this work is to compare equity open-end mutual funds with stock exchange traded funds (ETF) from the Czech investor's point of view. The comparison is made using profitability, risk, fees and also based on the outlined investments of a small Czech investor. There is also an emphasis on currency risk. Based on calculations and comparisons it was found that ETFs were more profitable in the monitored periods and in most cases less risky. In the event that a small Czech investor decides to take the currency risk and invest one-time, he should choose the ETF. For a variation of regular monthly investments, this work counts with 1,000 CZK per month, the investor should choose an open-end mutual fund.
