Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis examines the impact of age diversity on teamwork within a selected sports club. The introduction outlines the main objectives of the thesis, which consist of three research questions analyzed using scientific methods. The theoretical section is divided into several subsections that clarify important concepts related to teamwork, diversity management, and age diversity. The following section provides an overview of the specific sports club where the research was conducted. The practical part consists of two research methods—a questionnaire survey and a semi-structured interview, which capture the necessary data to answer the research questions. The research demonstrated that age diversity in itself is not perceived as a negative factor, but it manifests itself through differences in approach to training, experience, and motivation. At the same time, a correlation was confirmed between a player’s experience and her commitment to the team. Based on these findings, the final chapter offers suggestions and recommendations for the leadership of the sports organization.
