Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis is focused on scanning and processing image from ultrasound machine and deals with some methods of image segmentation. The theoreticall part describes the basics of physical principles od ultrasound, methods of its generation, types of ultrasound probes used in medicine and possible modes of imaging. The research part discusses some methods of image processing, especially thy types and use of some filters. In the practical part deals the thesis with description of MINDRAY M7 used for images. Then some of segmentation method were applied to images obtained from ultrasound phantoms. The task was to test different settings od segmentation algorythm and the evaluate the quality of performed segmentation. The last point of this work is creation of laboratory task, which will be used for education in subjects LZS 1 a LZS 2.
