Abstract
The thesis is concerned with a usage of global navigation satellite systems in meteorology, concretely for a determination of predicted water vapour of the atmosphere which significantly influences weather.
Its main goal is to evaluate the quality of GNSS-derived slant wet delays acquired by different techniques. The real influence of horizontal gradients and post-fit residuals with or without multipath correction on SWD computation is examined and assessed. The GNNS-derived slant wet delays were compared with those directly measured by a water vapour radiometer. Further a new GNSS tomography of the atmosphere method is proposed and tested. This method could be used for a reconstruction of vertical profile of the water vapour distribution in the atmosphere from only a few GNSS receivers situated in the field in a line.
