Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the financing of allowance organizations ZOO Ostrava. I deal with non-profit organizations, their classification and characteristics. After the breakdown of non-profit organization under the basic criteria I focus in detail on allowance organizations and introduction of a specific allowance organization ZOO Ostrava. The aim of this thesis is to describe the sources of funding in ZOO Ostrava through the years 2005-2010 and to evaluate whether the organization uses all available funding options. In another part of the thesis I analyze the management of ZOO Ostrava, which shows that the organization during the reporting period of six years had managed effectively, thus with a profit.
