Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to describe a safe process for personal computer processor overclocking as well as mapping its resulting gain in operating speed and, inevitably, its power consumption increase. We will look at the existing risks, advantages and disadvantages but mostly we will depict the reasons why someone should increase his computer’s operating speed following this path.
