Rekultivace kamenolomu Mladecko

Abstract

This thesis discusses the possibility of reclamation of the Mladecko quarry. Two reclamation options are proposed, differing in their implementation. The introductory section of the thesis deals with the current state of the site, the history of mining, and the machinery used. This is followed by a research section on possible reclamation methods used in mitigating mining activities during quarrying. The following section elaborates on two possible reclamation variants. The first variant involves leaving the residual pit with an increased water level of the lake and allowing for a biological phase of succession. The second variant deals with the possibility of filling the residual pit of the quarry with inert waste and subsequent controlled succession. Both methods are evaluated from a technical and economic perspective in the next chapter. Finally, both methods are briefly described, the costs of their implementation are summarized, and their subsequent utilization is evaluated.
