Abstract

The presented bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of fire safety solutions for healthcare facilities with a focus on the evacuation of persons with reduced mobility. Special attention is given to the specific aspects of evacuation in healthcare buildings, particularly in inpatient facilities. The theoretical part analyzes legal regulations and technical standards related to fire safety and describes different patient groups in terms of evacuation. The practical part focuses on the design of a simplified fire safety solution for a selected facility, including escape routes and evacuation procedures. The thesis also highlights the differences between theoretical requirements and real operation and emphasizes the importance of organizational measures and staff training.
