Využitie magnetických frakcií pri štúdiu správania arzénu pri spaľovaní uhlia

Abstract

The study focuses on the distribution of arsenic (As) in bottom ash and fly ash and the effects of addition of desulfurization additives on its capture during the combustion of bituminous coals and lignite. Based on the literature, CaO, Fe2O3, Al2O3 and SiO2 were identified as the main components affecting As capture. The results showed that the largest proportion of As is found in the fine grain size fractions. Correlation analyses confirmed a strong positive relationship between As content and CaO and a negative relationship with Fe2O3. The contents of other major elements were also monitored in dry sieving and magnetic separation experiments. The study provides detailed insight into the distribution of As and other elements, which is important for a better understanding of their behaviour during coal combustion and for optimising methods for their capture.
