Abstract
The aim of the thesis “The Impact of Human Capital on Economic Growth in OECD Countries“ is to verify validity of hypothesis about the positive impact of human capital on economic growth in OECD countries for the period 2000-2010. There are used several methods in the thesis in order to achieve the aim. The key method for econometric modeling is the regression analysis. Other methods used during elaboration of this work are theoretical-deductive method, descriptive analysis, comparative analysis and correlation analysis. The thesis is divided into five chapters including the introduction and the conclusion. The second chapter is focused on the theoretic specification of human capital and economic growth. The third chapter presents the transition between the theoretical part of work and own analysis. There is performed a literature research in the area of human capital and economic growth. The fourth chapter is focused on examining the impact of human capital on economic growth in OECD countries using econometric modeling.
