Thesis Supervisor Ing. Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D. This thesis is devoted to a safety study of risks that may occur while using reflective elements by participants of traffic. The theoretic part describes legislation, traffic safety and includes description of reflective elements. This part is followed by analysis of risks that focuses on safety of foot-passengers and evaluation of the most serious risks. The last part focuses on the visibility of reflective elements situated on an adult and a child depending on the distance and type of lighting. The purpose of this thesis is a study of risks that may occur while using reflective elements and increase of the safety of participants of the road traffic.
