Abstract

This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a portable model of a balancing machine for a rotating part. A balancing machine is a device used in practice to eliminate the unbalance of rotating machine parts, which reduces their vibrations and extends their lifespan. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the fundamentals of balancing were described, followed by the practical part, where a model of a dynamic balancing machine for static unbalance was designed and implemented. The balancing machine detects unbalance using an accelerometer to measure vibrations. Data processing is carried out in the LabVIEW environment on a myRIO controller. The final balancing machine is capable of effectively suppressing vibrations caused by unbalance on the balanced disc.
