Abstract

The goal of the thesis was to characterize the elements of the system of development and education of employees in Siemens s.r.o., to find out whether the development and education take place in a systematic manner and to what extent the employees use the knowledge acquired through development and education during the work process at Siemens s.r.o. The goal was also to identify shortcomings in the company's system of development and education and suggest possible proposals or recommendations that would lead to better use and implementation of knowledge into the employees' work processes. The second chapter of the thesis dealt with the theoretical basis of development and education of employees in an organization and was based on expert resources. The third chapter focused on an introduction of the company and was based on secondary resources from the company. This chapter provides information on the company's history, strategy and its connection to development and education, on the system of development and education of employees at Siemens s.r.o. The fourth chapter dealt with an analysis of development and education of employees at Siemens s.r.o. The analysis was carried out using research methods of semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The fifth chapter contains proposals and recommendations that followed from the facts gathered during the previous chapters.
