Abstract

The diploma thesis is concerned with the issue of shock wave parameters detection which consists in theoretical calculations and experimental measurements. The aim of this thesis is to provide a complex view on the essentials which are related to shock waves, especially the determination of their individual parameters. The theoretical part is focused on theory of explosion and explosives from general to more specific issues which the work concerns. The practical part introduces selected computational equations of shock wave, a performed experiment and subsequently measurement results and calculations, which are compared with each other. The purpose of the comparison is to define the most suitable computational equation of the searched parameters for the experimental conditions and to get an overview of explosion characteristics of the used types of explosives. The findings will be discussed in terms of security problematics.
