Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the inventory management system in the subsidiary of the German concern, which focuses on the production of electric motors, electric drives and transducers. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the data set of selected stator sheet items fot the year 2017 and to propose appropriate measures leading to reduction of funds in inventories and release of storage area. The first chapter describes the theory of inventory management and inventory analysis. The production company is characterized in the following section. The practical part is focused on the application of ABC analysis, inventory movement analysis and XYZ analysis. The information collected is processed into the form of improvement proposals that can be used to manage inventory.
