Pavilon ledních medvědů

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the project documentation's process for realizing a construction area - a polar bear pavilion. The foundation is based on urban studies of the Studio work III course, architectonic studies of the Studio work IV course and project documentation for a building permit of the Studio work Va. The mentioned construction is situated on the property of Ostrava's zoo. The aim of the construction is to create an educational space with the focus on the Arctic continent. This thesis deals with only one of the construction complexes - the polar bear pavilion. There are three spaces within the area: a principal room for the visitor routes, a place for the zoo keepers and the quarters for the male polar bear.
