Abstract
This bachelor's thesis deals with the matter of fiber optic temperature sensors and development of a mobile application which employs obtained data from a DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensor). Raman scattering, an effect used by a DTS, is described in the theoretical part of this work. The sensors themselves are then examined in the following chapters. The practical part of this work contains the description of application development for mobile devices with the Android operating system with a subsequent use of the application with a fiber for testing purposes. A review of measured results can be found in the last part of the work. The application can be used for the purpose of monitoring temperature in optical fibres in real time.
