Abstract

The objective of this Graduation work was providing the static analysis of storage silo model and its construction details and also evalution of the results of alternating models. To achieve this objective a model of the storage silo was created in a graphic software program Scia Engineer with the usage of planar finite elements. Static evalution was made according to appropriate technical standards with the aplication of membrane theory. Elements, where the membrane theory was not valid were evaluted with special calculation. Afterwards, the model of structure with higher order elements and axisymmetric model with elements was created. Calculations were made for specific load conditions, and the results of the internal forces were compared between each other and differences were evaluted with the use of the finite elements method.
