Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with a general problem of underground housing structures, the so-called underground urbanism. In the thesis, research with the focus on historical development of underground housing structures was carried out and an overview of geotechnical methods was made. The entire research focused primarily on the old continent. Subsequently, a parametric study of a model situation with regard to establishing a passive eco house was made. Within the scope of this study, computations of slope stability, slope inclination and earth pressures, in relation to the selected soils and their parameters were carried out. In addition, drawings of gravity wall and rider bracing were prepared. All computations were done using the software Geo5, modules gravity wall and sheeting design. The result of the parametric study is a design proposal for securing a foundation pit. A permanent securing using a gravity wall and temporary securing using rider bracing were proposed.
