Abstract

The topic of this thesis is the evaluation of changes in the flammability of hydraulic fluids depending on the concentration of water in the mixture in relation to their safe use. The theoretical part deals with flammable liquids and their mixtures. Specifically, it focuses on the hydraulic fluid acceptable for the environment and its flammability. It also describes methods of evaluating the flammability of fluids according to the temperature of the flash fire. In conclusion, the theoretical part describes procedures for determining the temperature of the flash point and ignition of flammable liquids according to ISO standards. The practical part includes physical and chemical properties of test liquids, the flash-point, influenced by different concentrations of solutions, obtained by measuring a graph showing ignition temperature dependence on the concentration of flammable liquids in the mixture with water.
