Abstract
The subject of this thesis is the user testing of the career website budfrankbold.cz, which serves as a recruitment and information tool for Frank Bold. The main objective of the research is to identify key usability issues and map the candidate’s journey through the recruitment process. The theoretical section examines the theoretical foundations of user experience and user testing, user journey models, and the characteristics of Frank Bold.
The practical part is based on qualitative research in the form of remote moderated testing. Twelve respondents participated in the study; they were purposefully grouped according to their prior experience with the website and their job positions.
Test results showed that the website successfully builds trust and that the technical path to the application form is effective and intuitive. However, significant gaps in the information architecture and navigation were identified, which make it difficult for applicants to find information about the company’s activities, its culture, and the recruitment process. Based on these results and respondents’ comments, specific optimization steps have been proposed, including modifying the navigation, renaming items, and adding missing sections. These recommendations were provided to the relevant company employees for review and potential implementation.
