Abstract

The presented bachelor thesis deals with cylindrical inserts as one of the basic elements of the system of mechanical barriers. The theoretical part of the work presents the issue of cylindrical inserts, their historical development, description of individual parts, the principle of operation and division in terms of safety. The standards related to this area are given below and the most comprehensive part is devoted to non-destructive and destructive methods of overcoming cylindrical inserts and protection against them. In the practical part, selected methods are tested and compared on the basis of the identified criteria of speed, noise, detectability, availability of tools and financial demands.
