VoIP based system for the message distribution

Abstract

Voice over IP is surely technology with enormous potential and we can find many applications utilizing VoIP as a communication platform. The paper deals with developed system based on VoIP enabling a user to distribute a voice message on mobile phones. It can be used not only for the purpose of warning in case of disasters but generally to notify people and announce an important message. The benefit of using voice message to transfer information, as opposed to other forms of alerts distribution, is that the end user is forced to pick up the call and to listen to the message – i.e. information cannot be missed or disregarded. Optimalization and estimated performance are related to the design of developed system therefore this issue is described in the paper too.
