Abstract

Bachelor thesis ,,Public library and study in Opava "deals with the library project in the heart of the city of Opava. The project builds on previous urban studies in the subject Studio making III. and architectural study of the library in the subject Studio making IV. The work is addressed in the project scope documentation for the partial implementation of the construction according to the order of BP. Next part is the Architectural detail of the facade. The aim was to create a modern building, but also integrating well with the surrounding historic buildings in the center of Opava. The concept of solution is based on simple and clear layout and interconnection of the internal space. Strict monumental facade of the building adds to the severity and corresponds to its function.
