Abstract

This thesis is trying to extend a running operation of the largest supercomputing centre in the Czech Republic and with the knowledge of its existing processes, internal functioning, software application development, security and planning processes to design and implement an information system supporting the operation of the supercomputer centre and facilitating the implementation of recurring activities of its managing structures. The work is conceived as a complete proposal describing the implementation of a new information system, used software components and tools for its development and management with an emphasis on the theoretical analysis of the individual parts.
