Abstract
This work deals with the creation and design of a motion sensor based on image processing. Selected methods from the field of computer vision are used for detecting people. The sensor is intended for use in intelligent building spaces. The result of the work is a functional prototype sensor capable of detecting motion in an image. The first part of the work analyzes the issues of motion detection and the construction of sensors for image capture and processing. The second part describes the implementation of the sensor, the choice of methods for motion detection, and the description of the functionality of the device's software part. The third part focuses on verifying the assumptions and functionality of the constructed prototype.
