Abstract

The introductory part deals with the sources, types, classification and origin of the mine water sulfate and chloride ions in these waters. The theoretical part is devoted to the removal of sulphate and chloride ions from mine water. In particular, processes are described with detailed ion exchange characteristics of ion exchangers and their use of electrodialysis and both generally and specifically with the application at home and abroad. The experimental work consisted in testing the removal of sulphate and chloride ions from mine water by ion exchange and electrodialysis. Both methods were compared and evaluated their effectiveness.
