Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the study of kinetics of adsorption using activated and non-activated selected wood-rotting fungi Fomitopsis pinicola, as a potential biosorbents for the removal of sulphate anions from aqueous solutions. Selected decaying fungi mechanically, chemically and thermally modified and divided into three grain size classes. The chemical activation was used two activating agents, and hydrochloric acid of 1 mol l-1 sodium hydroxide and 1 mol l-1. With Fomitopsis pinicola chemically modified hydrochloric acid fractions of 0,5 - 1 mm was removed under the conditions of 100% of sulphate ions. We can say that this is suitable biosorbents for the removal of sulphate ions from wastewater.
