Abstract

Ironwork companies belongs to the industrial companies with the longest tradition of iron and steel making in the Czech Republic. Product range is determined for customer all over the World and consist of rails, sections, wire rod and reinforcing bars. The input material comprises powder iron ore imported mainly from Russia and Ukraine, dolomitic limestone and coke, scarp as well as wastes produced in the process of steelmakinng. The thesis describes the production of sinter like input material for blast furnaces and problems during his produce.
