Abstract

Abstract Automotive industry is one of the most important sectors of the Czech economy. Due to its specific, a highly competitive environment and the fact that suppliers are integrated into the manufacturing process, the quality of the sub- components is very important aspect for the supplier-buyer relationship. This work is dedicated to a quality control in the manufacturing company in the automotive industry and its main objective was to assess the current level of quality in the latch assembly, and propose measures designed to increase process efficiency and improve the current situation . For this purpose, the design FMEA and the process FMEA was used to analyze the possibility of defects and their consequences. Possible causes were recorded in the Ishikawa diagram. The solution was an application of the poka-yoke method in the product design, which proved to be effective .
