Abstract
This thesis deals with thermochemical calculations and utilization of thermodynamic properties of the intermediates and products of combustion to determine the technical and safety related parameters. The work includes a detailed description of the procedures and methods of application of thermodynamic data (including analysis of available forms of tabulation) for the purpose of determining the theoretical adiabatic flame temperature, minimum extinguishing concentration and lower explosive limit. The aim is to summarize current knowledge related to the quantification thermodynamic properties of intermediate of burning and extinguishing and apply computational techniques and methods on the example of setting a minimum extinguishing concentration for the case of flame reference gaseous fuels.
