Vývoj metod volumetrické segmentace medicínských obrazů pro potřeby 3D tisku

Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis is to approach the issue of volumetric segmentation of medical images and 3D printing. 3D printing is very widespread today. In connection with medicine, it can be a very strong combination. Image segmentation brings the ability to break down and classify a certain area of interest of the image from methods for obtaining medical images. The thesis deals exclusively with segmentation methods of active contours and Otsu method, which I test and simulate in the MATLAB software environment. With the issue of 3D printing, the thesis deals with the creation of an STL file from the output of segmentation methods. A graphical user interface is created for this solution in the thesis. The resulting 3D printing of segmented models is dealt with in the next part. In the end, all the results of the segmentation method used in the thesis and the resulting 3D models with its visual comparison are evaluated.
