Abstract
The goal of this thesis is realization of backup multi-source power system with photovoltaic panel controlled by microcontroller. First part of the thesis is focused on basic analysis of individual parts of the system which consists of a photovoltaic panel, DC/DC converter and battery. There are battery charging methods and charging termination options described further on. Following are methods of finding maximal point of performance (MPPT). Second part of the thesis is focused on design itself and realization. It contains calculations, components dimensioning and simulations. In the final part of the thesis, there is system functionality check by measurement and comparison of measured results with simulations.
