Obytný soubor Sedlec Praha, nízkopodlažní kompaktní zástavba s převažující funkcí bydlení

Abstract

The area of south Sedlec in Prague 6 is at the moment a brown-field zone. For its attractive location with a very good public transport access, extraordinary recreational disposition and a view of the Prague Castle, I have decided to design it as a housing area in the urban-landscape study of my pre-thesis task. In my diploma thesis, I designed it as a single level compact estate housing area in a part of this zone. The project, characterized by the upper-middle class standard of the residential function, tries to link this extensive area to the context of this location in the urban lay-out. In the close view of the particular buildings, it elaborates the details of a suburban built-up area with a special focus on privacy and variable optional design of the available spatial lay-out.
