Využití nástroje Mapnik pro automazitované generování map

Abstract

This thesis deals with mapnik tool and its use for the automated generation of maps from data ÚAP. The first chapter is an introduction to cartography, its history and cartographic methods. They are divided into sub-subsections, according to various authors. This chapter is followed by a section devoted geodata visualization and publishing them on the Internet. This chapter is the introduction of map servers, their advantages and disadvantages. An essential chapter of the theoretical part of the chapter is dealing with mapnik and the AGG library, which is used for rendering. It’s followed by the part with information about ÚAP and used software and programming languages. Then follows a part about practical solution, which includes a chapter about the data that was used and a description of their data structures. The final section is devoted to the implementation of XML-style and linkage to the program MISYS. The last chapter contains an evaluation of the limitations and the possibility of extension tools.
